Our Story

Meet The Waterboy

We are a full-service water leak detection company with the dedication and experience to locate even the most stubborn leak! From the moment we arrive at your home, our team works tirelessly to determine the source of your leak. We use varied methods of leak detection including electromagnetic pipe locators, infrared thermal imaging, electronic and ultra-sonic sound tracing, and nitrogen pressure tests. Once the leak has been identified, we’ll mark the exact location of the leak so that it can be repaired by a licensed restoration or plumbing professional.

How do I know if I have a leak?
  1. Turn off all water appliances on your property. Don’t forget lawn or garden irrigation, toilets, washer dryers, dishwashers, faucets, icemakers, and backwash filters.
  2. Locate your water meter and remove the cover (sometimes you may need to pry a lid open).
  3. Is your meter moving or rotating? If so, then you probably have a leak.

Frequently Asked Questions

You’ve Got Questions. We’ve Got Answers!

A leak detection company is a highly specialized service provider. They provide expert leak detection services for indoor, outdoor and underground leaks. A leak detection company can quickly pinpoint the source of a leak and make recommendations for repairs. They are not responsible for repairing leaks, but often can refer you to an experienced plumbing professional who can do the job.

Great question! The fact is, leak detection and leak repair are very different specialties. They require a different set of tools and different competencies. Our staff is highly trained and continuously educated on the best methods of leak detection. We narrow our focus to leak detection in order to provide the best possible service. When you work with The Waterboy, you can rest easy knowing that we aren’t trying to upsell you for unnecessary restoration or construction services. Our only goal is to find your leak as quickly and non-invasively as possible.

Many plumbers and restoration companies claim to provide leak detection services. You should remember that leak detection requires specialized training that other companies may not have. When you forgo leak detection services, you run the risk of your restoration professionals misidentifying the source of your leak. Ultimately, this mistake could be incredibly costly. At The Waterboy, we’ll correctly identify your leak the first time. Furthermore, we offer our guidance and recommendations for repairs. You can expect full transparency and exceptional customer service throughout the process.

Yes! We’re glad you asked. Outdoor and indoor leaks require different methods for determining the source of the leak, but both are equally important and should be addressed as quickly as possible. Outdoor leaks tend to be underground and require a professional leak detector to locate the problem without causing unnecessary damage to your lawn. Indoor leaks may begin within walls and under concrete floors, making them difficult for a plumber to repair without a prior leak detection service.
